Psychology Services

A range of psychological assessments are provided including: 

• Cognitive assessment for children and adults exploring an individual's cognitive profile including their strengths and difficulties, and their day- to-day functioning.
• Psycho-educational assessment for children and adolescents including a cognitive assessment and academic achievement exploring areas of strength and difficulty in academic performance with suitable recommendations.

The cost of assessments are calculated at an hourly rate of $250.00 (including GST). Assessment costs include: clinical interview/s, assessment administration, travel to the individual (where relevant), scoring of assessments, report writing, and a feedback session. 

Psychology therapeutic sessions are provided to children, adolescents and adults presenting with a wide range of focus areas including:

• Anxiety
• Depression
• Anger
• Emotional regulation and stress management
• Relationship difficulties
• Behavioural challenges
• Adverse life experiences including trauma.

Psychology sessions can be funded in a range of ways including:

1. Via a Mental Health Care Plan from the treating General Practitioner. The standard fee to see a General Psychologist is $250 for a 50 minute consultation. Medicare provides a rebate of $96.65. Consult with private health insurance providers for any applicable rebates.  
2. Privately funded sessions. The standard fee applies. Refer to private health insurances providers for any applicable rebates.
3. NDIS funding under Capacity Building Improved Daily Living therapy psychology support line item: 15_054_0128_1_3. The hourly rate is $222.99. Grbec Professional Services is a registered NDIS Provider.
